When her family joined her earlier this year they started house hunting and were attracted to Tauranga Lakes because of the rural aspect yet proximity to shops and city attractions.

With two teenagers and an older daughter arriving later, a 4-bedroom home was essential. They chose Universal.

"Price was the deciding factor," said Sue. "And now we love it and the landscaping around us - and being able to see cows on the hillsides surrounding the Lakes."

She also appreciates the 'old fashioned neighbourhood values' as she enjoys friendships with the other residents in her street.
